Updated by Melvin Potts
This church was closed by the Tennessee United Methodist Church Conference in 2016. The building was purchased by an individual who may use it for other purposes. I have been told that the organ is still in the building but have no other information about it.
Updated by Sandy Tipping, who has heard or played the organ.
The building has been sold to real estate developer Charles Jones, whose plans include renting office space in the Education Building to various tenants, and converting the sanctuary into an event space for weddings and other events.

Updated through online information from Charles E. Potter. -- In the 1976 Brandt rebuild the original large double rise reservoir and 3 attached feeder bellows were removed and replaced with 2 new curtain valve reservoirs for the Swell and Great. The original feeders still had a handle that projected through the side of the case for hand pumping. The feeders could also be driven by a water motor from below the organ. An electric blower had been added many years before and the feeders were no longer in use. The 1976 work included cleaning and replacement of the leather nuts on the tracker action.

On-line update from Melvin Potts -- A side wall of the church was blown out by April 1998 tornado. Organ survived intact, but had debris blown into the chamber. After church reconstruction completed, Milnar Organ Company cleaned and reinstalled the organ. It is still in use every Sunday.
Status Note: There 1996.
Restored Brandt 1976. Good condition in 1996 and being used. Building believed destroyed in Apr. 1998 tornado. Organ back in use in 1999.
