Updated through online information from Kevin Vogt.
Updated through online information from Kevin Vogt. -- According to the late Alan Laufman, remnants of the Johnson organ are in the present organ at St. Francis Cabrini Church. The third cathedral, St. Cecilia Cathedral, was the recipient of a 1918 organ by Casavant Bros. of South Haven, Michigan.
Built for old Cathedral at 8th and Jackson which was torn down. The present St. Cecilia's Cathedral parish moved to St. Philomena's Church at 11th and Williams, now named St. Frances Cabrini. Organ rebuilt 1950 by H. T. Depue and electrified. [1987 pastors' addresses are given as 701 N. 40th St. for St. Cecilia's Cathedral and 1334 St. 9th for St. Francis Cabrini, no listing for St. Philomela's. Which location has the organ?]
