The organ's date is given as 1899 on the church website "History" section, but an article in 1906 listing the organ as the firm's Shop No. 2 gives the date as 1896. It's Shop No. 3 was built in 1897. The firm was established about 1895.

A new building was built on the site in 1928. The organ was replaced with a a “modern” electric organ built by the Hall Organ Co. Such description was given by Hall for replacing other Bates & Culley instruments.
