The Princeton Presbyterian Church was built in 1876 on Saunders Avenue near Powelton Avenue in the western portion of the City of Philadelphia. Installation of the Hilborne Roosevelt organ followed in 1877. A two-alarm fire badly damaged the interior of the church in 1932. Early in the 1950s the congregation moved from West Philadelphia to a new location at 933 Baltimore Pike in Springfield PA. The West Philadelphia property was sold to the Presbyterian Hospital (now known as Penn-Presbyterian Hospital). Much later, Princeton Presbyterian changed its name to The Tree of Life.
Online update from George Fieo -- The instrument that I played 2001-2003 was a two-manual Moeller dated in the 1950s. The instrument listed here is no longer in the building.
