Originally installed in Emmanuel Church, Episcopal, in Boston. In 1890, the church purchased a new Geo. S. Hutchings organ, and the E. & G.G. Hook was moved to Christ Church, Rochester, New York, in 1891. From Andrew Henderson (June 14, 2025): From the *Democrat & Chronicle* (October 23, 1891): “The organ has been rebuilt and placed in the church by the firm Woodbury [sic] & Harris, of Boston.”

In 1919, rebuilt and enlarged by Möller (Opus 2728).
