Updated by Elizabeth Hostetter, who maintains the organ.
George Miller, Miller Pipe Organ Services, Buford, GA, who moved it, closed the pipe toes, revoiced the organ, and releathered the stoppers for wood pipes in the Summer 2018.
Updated by Elizabeth Jones Hostetter, who gave this as the source of the information: I just purchased this organ from the original owner's estate. I knew her and have the contract.
The organ is located in the middle of a large family room with high ceilings. I knew the original owner, Gayle Martin, who was a mentor to me in the 1970s when I was a young teacher. She was a nationally certified piano teacher and an outstanding and devoted member of Alabama Music Teachers Association of MTNA. She died April 19, 2018, age 97 in Gadsden, AL. I am honored to be able to now own the organ she loved since 1970.
This entry describes a new home for an organ that was relocated without either tonal or mechanical changes.
