"This splendid little organ was built for the Methodist Church in Chatham, Mass., which purchased a 2-9 Hook & Hastings in 1897 (gutted a few years ago for imitation organ speakers). The Hook was moved to the Congregational Church in Tyngsboro, Mass., where it served until an electronic arrived in 1944. It was then moved by Rostron Kershaw of Lowell to Calvary Baptist Church in Haverhill, Mass." (Boston Organ Club Newsletter, October 1967)

From Methodist, Chatham, MA; via Congregational, Tyngsboro, MA. Moved here in 1945. 13 pedal pipes tubed off rear-most slider of main chest and played from manual also. 1977 fire and water damage - parts of case, favade pipes (non-speaking), and pedal pipes destroyed. Removed by Andover. Relocated to Christ the King Lutheran, Columbia SC.
