Database Manager on December 22nd, 2018:
This entry describes a new home for an organ that was relocated without either tonal or mechanical changes.
Identified by James R. Stettner, listing conversations with this person as the source of the information: Justin Berg, Cathedral organist.
The organ was originally built for Friedens United Church of Christ in Schenectady, New York. It was removed in 1996 and rebuilt by Wissinger Organs for St. James R.C. Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire ca. 1997. When the church building was sold to a developer and closed in 2017, the used 1908 Hinners was donated by an interested party to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption in Ningbo, China. The organ was dedicated on October 28, 2018 by Craig Cramer of the University of Notre Dame.
