Scot Huntington on March 30th, 2023:

The Facebook site for the church (2023) is devoid of photos of the church except for an image of the chancel area from 2012, showing no evidence of an organ and an empty alcove behind the pulpit and altar. Unless an organ has been installed in a tower chamber, it would appear the Steere has been removed.

Scot Huntington on March 30th, 2023:

The contract states this was a rebuild and enlargement of an existing organ, unidentified maker. Details stated in the contract include:

  • Case enlarged as necessary to accommodate the enlarged instrument with additional decorated pipes as needed.
  • A new quartered oak console with cherry trimming to be attached in the center location of the original; new matching bench.
  • The present High Concert Pitch [A450] to be lowered to standard International Pitch A435.
  • The new terraced stop jambs to be angled
  • New concave pedalboard of 30 notes with radiating sharps.
  • New double-rise reservoir with an inverted fold with new Ross water motor an high-pressure bellows installed in a room underneath the organ. Church water pressure 65 lbs.
  • All stops of the Great to be enclosed with the Swell with the exception of the Open Diapason.
  • Doppel Floete 8' added above the contract to the Great, "given by Mr. Adams", $175.00
  • Signed May 14, 1908, to be finished Sept. 1st, 1908.
Cost: $2,500.00 -plus $175.00 for added stop.
