Jim Stettner on April 16th, 2021:
identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This instrument was originally built for Milliken University in Decatur, Illinois. It was installed in a third floor Practice Room of Perkinson Music Center. It was removed by Clark Hale and Richard Schneider from Millikin in the 1980's and relocated to the residence of Clark and Mary Waldmier of Decatur, Illinois. The Waldmiers later sold the organ and it was acquired by Arthur Hixson of Olympia, Washington for $1,000.00. Mr. Hixson drove to Illinois to retrieve the organ. It was stored but never set-up in Olympia. It was acquired by Sean Griggs of Seattle, Washington at the recommendation of Puget Sound Pipe Organs, to be combined in the future with his existing 2-manual, 3-rank Kilgen ”Petite Ensemble”. The purchase price was $1,000.00, and Puget Sound Pipe Organs donated a 3-manual keyboard stack to Arthur Hixson for a Hauptwerk set-up as part of the arrangement. The organ was removed from the Hixson residence in late July, 2016.
