Updated through online onformation from Eddie Huss. -- The Swell 8' Trumpete was added in 1981 by a Mr. Manley, (from Jonesboro, GA., near Atlanta). It was made by the Moller Company. Jim Stettner on September 1st, 2021:
Identified through online information from Eddie Huss. -- This was the first Carl Bassett-Skinner installed after Mr. Bassett moved the operations from Reading, Massachusetts to Oakland, Florida. It was designed by Leroy Baumgartner and Frank Bozyan of the Yale University faculty. Newton Tyson, organist and Choir Director of First United Methodist in Douglas approved the design and installation. The organ is installed in chambers separating the Sanctuary and adjacent Chapel. It is playable from two consoles - one in each of the worship spaces.
