Jim Stettner on January 7th, 2022:
This entry represents the installation of a new pipe organ. The Pasi arrived in October 2021 and was assembled in two weeks. This was followed by 10 weeks of on-site voicing, tonal regulation, and tonal finishing. The Organ Dedication Weekend will be February 11-13, 2022. February 11 at 8:00 p.m. will be the Dedicatory recital with Kola Owolabi - Professor of Organ at the University of Notre Dame. February 12 at 10:00 a.m. is an event called Dinosauria & Donuts which is a demonstration of the organ and recital for children by St. George’s Minister of Music, Ben Keseley. February 13 at 10:30 a.m. will be the Festival Worship with Organ Dedication in which the parish formally dedicates the organ to the service and glory of God. The Pasi replaces a 2-manual electro-pneumatic Moller (Opus 1991, 1915) installed as a used instrument by the Newcomer Organ Co. in th 1950's.
