This 4 rank instrument, Opus #692 was built for Harry Page Maus, founder of Page Organ Company, Lima, Ohio, with pipes and chest only. Maus sold this instrument to the Capitol Theater, Delphos, Ohio. The organ is now in the Allen County Museum, Lima, Ohio. -- information from R. Joseph Wiessinger, from information from Dwane Grace on April 04, 2022, submitted to ORGAN ID 63096.
The Capitol Theater was in existence from 1922 until the early 1970’s, when it was purchased and refurbished. Spelling seems to vary between Capitol and Capital, unless there were two theaters with this name in Delphos.
The Capitol Theater was closed in the early-1970’s and was converted into a furniture showroom. They moved out of the building, and by 2007, it was sitting vacant. -- information from Cinema Treasures website
