From Rollin Smith's Midmer book "Organ Building in Brooklyn and on Long Island" The St. Laurence O'Toole organ was built in 1908, 2 manuals, tracker action, costing $1,500. The ledger clarifies that the organ was built for THIS building at E. Haverhill and Newbury Sts, NOT the former edifice which later became Holy Rosary Church.
Research on building of the church from Augustinian Archives reports: The organ was made in Brooklyn, NY and had a kinetic motor.
Summary of church organ history from Robert J. Reich of Andover Organ Co. from website "Organs of Greater Lawrence"
Organized 1873; 1st bldg. 1873 on Union St. at Essex, wood, became Holy Rosary; 2nd bldg. 1903 E. Haverhill St., brick; disbanded 1979, bldg. razed.
