Something missing?Add Console
The Hook organ gave faithful service until 1911, when it was replaced by an instrument by Kimball, Smallman & Frazee Organ Co. of Boston, MA. The pulpit platform was moved forward to make room for the console, and the new organ was installed on the front wall at either side of the pulpit, using a fac;ade design proposed by Ernest M. Skinner.
In the winter of 1973, a thermostat malfunction caused the church heat to remain at over 90 degrees for nearly a week, resulting in severe damage to the organ.
