Jim Stettner on August 26th, 2024:
Updated through online information from Andrew Scanlon (August 22, 2024): I visited the church August 21, 2024. Since my last visit two months ago in June 2024, the chancel has been remodeled and the console has been removed. It was nowhere to be found. Pipework still in chambers. Obviously the organ is now unplayable.

Andrew Scanlon on May 31st, 2022:
Congregation disbanded in 2015. Church sold to an Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist congregation.

Andrew Scanlon on May 30th, 2022:
I saw the instrument once but did not hear it. Organ is in divided chambers in the front chancel. 3-man Laws Austin-style console on south side of chancel. from Robert J Reich: Pipe Organs of Greater Lawrence Organized 1868; 1st bldg. 1868, 66 Turnpike (now Broadway), small, rebuilt into a barn still extant on Andover St; 2nd bldg. 1875 198 Broadway, burned 1896; 3rd bldg. 1896 burned 1939; 4th bldg. 1939 brick "colonial". Reed organ until 1901. *S 1st organ: Odell 1867 #59 from Winsted, Conn., bought in 1901 from E. W. Lane for $950. *S 2nd organ: Laws, 1929, 3m, Odell rebuilt and enlarged. *S 3rd organ: Laws, 1939, put together from salvageable parts of previous organ and various other old organs; new Swell and Great chests installed by Williams ca. 1968. Great partially revoiced 1975 by Andover Organ Co. All of the Great Principal stops are derived from one set of bad open diapason pipes and no improvement is possible without providing pipes and chest space for these stops.
