Paul R. Marchesano on August 11th, 2022:

Possibly (?) contained pipework from prior instrument, E. & G.G. Hook & Hastings (Opus 893, 1878). From 2009 OHS Atlas: "This organ [H&H Opus 893] was replaced in 1914 by a three-manual J.W. Steere & Son electropneumatic action organ, reportedly costing $12,000. In July 1915 Gordon Balch Nevin (1892-1943) became organist of Second Church staying until September 1917, when he went to work for the Ernest M. Skinner Organ Company in Boston."
