Jeff Scofield on December 18th, 2022:
From the builder's website: This new pipe organ for Emanuel Lutheran Church in Fitchburg Massachusetts contains 2 manuals and 20 ranks with electric slider windchests. All mechanicals including winding, 2 inch thick expression enclosures for the Swell AND Great was constructed by our staff and is located behind a Frank Friemel designed case that fits this small post-modernist 1970’s building. Aside from the new façade Pedal Violone and reeds, all fluework will be from the church’s existing Hook and Hastings (1896 Opus 1127 originally built for the Calvinistic Congregational in Fitchburg) and is augmented with pipework from E.& G.G. Hook (1872 Opus 616- Kinsley voiced).
