From The Kingston Whig-Standard (April 22, 1887): "The Organ is Here, 'The organ for the Queen street Methodist church has arrived here from Toronto. It placed in position by one of S. R. Warren's men. The organ they are putting in the Belleville Methodist church costs $3,800."

From The Kingston Whig-Standard (May 9, 1887): "Mr. Reyner, after having tested the organ thoroughly, remarked to a reporter this morning: "I am very much delighted with it. The diapasons on the great organ have a fine mellow tone. The harmonic flute and dulciana are superb stops, and with the principal, fifteenth, trumpets and mixtures, it comprises a well-balanced great organ. With regard to the swell organ I should like to make special mention of the viol-de-gamba. It is without exception the sweetest stop in the swell organ. When played it has the most soothing effect. The swell diapasons (violin and stopped) are exceedingly well-voiced, and with the remaining stops, bourdon, octave and cornopean, coupled to the great organ, a grand volume of tone is at hand for the organist to use to advantage. There is only one pedal stop, double open diapason, which, when playing softly on the swell, has a tendency to be too loud, and the only way it can be remedied is by using the diapasons on the great organ, and coupling them to the pedals withoout using the pedal stop. The organ has three couplers, two composition pedal [sic] and vox humana pedal."

A description from The Daily British Whig (May 6, 1887) states: "The case is of gothic design, of ash, finished in oil. The front pipes are finished in gold with flock ornaments at top and bottom. The instrument almost fills the alcove, in the front of which will sit the members of the choir, led by Capt. R. Crawford. The manufacturers of the organ are S. R. Warren & Son, Toronto ... The organ is a powerful one, mellow and sweet in tone." The instrument was destroyed in a fire in 1920. The church amalgamated with St. Margaret's United Church in 2010 under the new name Crossroads United Church, using the former St. Margaret's building, and the Queen Street Church property was sold.
