This instrument is: Not Extant and Not Playable in this location

Andrew Henderson on May 23rd, 2023:

From Manitoba Free Press (August 15, 1904): "Messrs. Edward Lye & Son, organ builders, of Toronto, have installed a new pipe organ in St. Alban's Cathedral at a cost of $1,600. The instrument, which is a very fine one, was used for the first time to-day. This is the first pipe organ to be installed in the town, and the congregation has good occasion to feel proud."

It is possible that the instrument was rebuilt by Casavant Frères as their Op. 1709 in 1942.
