This entry represents the installation of a new organ. Identified through online information from Andrew Henderson (January 17, 2025): From the Pan-American Gazette (September 15, 1900): “St. John’s United Evangelical Church on Amherst Street has a new, magnificent organ. It arrived some time ago, and has been put in place, all ready for the grand installation … the new organ, which they felt they could afford, was built by a Cleveland manufacturer named Voetteler [sic]. It cost $3,000 and the oak finished improvements and alterations necessary for its accommodation have cost $600 more. All this, much to the gratification of the congregation, has been paid for in cash. The organ is a grand affair and contains 1400 pipes.”
