“The New Organ for St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, Trenton, N.J., consisting of two full ranks of keys and pedals, with 26 stops, will be open to the inspection of those interested in such matters on next Wednesday afternoon, the 12th inst., at the workshop of John Roberts, organ builder, Frankford, Philadelphia.”

Identified from A History of St. Michael's Church Trenton, from the year of our Lord 1703 to 1926, p. 135.

"St. Michael's Church was now to enter upon a career of extension, as is evidenced by the employment of a parish missionary, the purchase of a new organ, and the rebuilding of the church edifice. The parish was declared to be ( 1866) free of debt, and the way was therefore open for the enjoyment of these advantages."

A NEW ORGAN
April 20, 1866.
"Resolved that the choir committee be authorized to purchase a new organ not costing over $2,800."

May 3, 1866.
The choir committee had contracted to purchase a new organ from John Roberts of Frankford , Pa . , for $2250."
