Jim Stettner on May 1st, 2021:
The organ was originally built for the First Church of God in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. When that church got a new Moller in 1924, Moller advertised the Farrand & Votey for sale.

Paul R. Marchesano on April 30th, 2021:
According to the church website: "The Pipe Organ of Holy Family Parish is about 130 years old. It is a 12 rank Farrand & Votey which we purchased in 1924 from out East. It only cost about $2,250 in those days!" This, taken together with the firm's active dates, likely dates the organ approximately 10 years older than the estimated dates on its database entries. A restoration project has begun at the church in Detroit and hopefully a more accurate date can be obtained.

Database Manager on October 30th, 2004:
