Andrew Henderson on February 18th, 2025:
From the "Westfield Republican" (August 19, 1874): "New organ - Derrick & Felgemaker, of Erie, are placing one of their superior organs in the Presbyterian Church. This organ is built expressly for the place, and in design of form and exterior ornamentation is made to harmonize perfectly with its surroundings. It is furnished with two banks of keys, twenty stops, besides swells, couplers, &c. It is being set up under the direct supervision of Prof. Derrick, who is personally superintending the work. Should it prove in tone and mechanical working, what it is in exterior appearance, the society may be congratulated in having secured a great accessory to church worship. Its cost will be almost $2,200." The church and organ were destroyed by fire in 1878.
