From the 'History' page of the Church website, "On June 2, 1968 the congregations of St. John’s United Church of Christ and Cherokee Heights Presbyterian Church merged to form one congregation known as Cherokee Park United Church."

This entry represents the installation of a 'new' organ compiled from disparate parts. Identified through online information from Jayson Engquist (April 8, 2025). The Twin Cities AGO Organ List entry for this instrument states, "Parts of the Vogelpohl organ from Forest Lawn Mausoleum chapel (Maplewood) found their way into this church in the front chambers. Justin Matters pipes and parts of the Patterson organ discarded from St. John's in the Wilderness, White Bear Lake were assembled by Geoff Hunt and Tim Patterson. According to Terry Kleven, the Forest Lawn Vogelpohl (moved here in the 1970s) was removed. Pipes are all in the balcony with console in front. No pipes remain in the front chambers."
