According to Pastor Katharina Moeller, the organ was purchased second hand by the congregation and installed in St. George's Lutheran Church (built in 1872 for College Street Baptist Church and subsequently used by Christ Protestant Episcopal Church and four other congregations from 1923 to 1956) sometime after 1954. The location of the organ's original 1929 installation is unknown, although Franklin Legge organ undoubtedly used the facade and possibly pipework from an older instrument.
