This entry represents the rebuilding of an existing organ after HVAC damage in 2024. identified through online information from Andrew Kessinger (September 28, 2025): The organ sustained catastrophic damage due to a burst HVAC pipe in mid-2024 causing extreme heat and humidity in the enclosed divisions of the organ. R.A. Colby Incorporated was contracted to carry out the repairs. Both enclosed divisions were removed in October 2024, along with a few ranks from the open Great, the winding system and swell shades. Colby installed an entirely new swell shade system for both chambers, and a partition in the choir chamber (left side when facing organ) allowing the ability to express the solo division completely independent of the choir. The console was further improved adding expression indicators and improved electronics. Walker provided new digital support and projection system, with monitors placed throughout the organ as opposed to being centrally mounted as before. Re-installation took place in September 2025. Enclosed divisions have new layouts, allowing for easier serviceability, and better overall sound.
The original builder is Wicks, opus 5005, 1970.
