Andrew Henderson on October 11th, 2025:
From the *Welland-Port Colborne Evening Tribune* (June 14, 1940): "The organ in Central United Church was installed over 30 years ago, and the pneumatic action was not only antiquated, but had deteriorated to the point where it did not function properly. Arrangements accordingly were made with the Woodstock Pipe Organ Company to reconstruct the organ. The church will now have practically a new organ. A new electro-pneumatic action has been installed, the console completely modernized and a number of new stops added. The organ is also equipped with a set of chimes that may be played from both manuals. The new organ should be really a beautiful instrument as it will have practically double the number of effective stops and additional accessories made possible the electric action. The organ and chimes will be dedicated on Sunday morning, June 16th by the minister, Rev. Roy M. Geiger ... special music will be rendered by the choir under the direction of Mrs. C. L. Coulson."
