In our Centennial book published in 1953 written by Roswell A Hogue DDS, there is this paragraph: "June 27 (1886) saw the purchase of a new small Organ. It originally cost $500 but we bought it almost new for $125. The organist was now, Mr. Aimé Lefebvre. He painted the Organ and cared for it with unusual attention while playing it for many years."
I am not sure if this refers to a Reed Organ or a pipe organ. The book refers to the church having a "Harmonica" prior, played by the first organist of the church. [Ed.: This suggests that the installation was likely a small pipe organ (potentially portable), second hand, since the history refers to an earlier organ as "harmonica" indicating a reed organ. 2026-05-06]
The Choir loft was enlarged in 1896, we know for sure.
