Jim Stettner on May 13th, 2026:

This entry represents the rebuilding of an existing instrument. Identified from Wikipedia. This was the second stage of a 2-stage rebuilding of the 1871 Willis organ, the first stage being in 1924. The organ was electrified during this time. The organ was extended to 146 stops, including three percussion stops.

In the 1970s, Harrisons refurbished the console and replaced the switchgear in the action, made minor changes to the voicing and added a roof in an unsuccessful attempt to project the sound forward.
