Schoenstein & Co. op.114 was installed in a private residence in 1989. In 1995, the prepared-for 16' Bourdon was installed (a 12-pipe extension) and the instrument was designated op. 114A. In 2020, the organ was listed for sale on the website of the Organ Clearing House, which described it as a "Salon Organ in the French Romantic Style." The organ was later purchased for Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, where it was installed in the newly created St. Callistus Chapel, adjacent to the cathedral's crypts. While the organ's tonal resources were not altered, a new case was designed by the chapel's architects.
