Updated through online information from T. Daniel Hancock. -- According to Schnurr, 2000, "When the present church was constructed, there was not sufcient money available for a suitable pipe organ. However, it was decided to purchase an organ from the Gratian Organ Company of Alton, Illinois. Space was provided for additional pipework to be added. . . . When the present organ was contracted, the Gratian organ was sold to the Irving Park Christian Church of Chicago for $1,250. . . . On March 20, 1928, the Gratian organ was removed from the sanctuary in anticipation of the arrival of the Skinner organ."
