This entry represents the installation of a used organ. Relocated from the Caleb R. Fox residence in Shoemakertown [Cheltenham Township, Montgomery Co., PA, now Chelten Hills] in 1835 by U. S. Pipe Organ Co. to unidentified church on Cheltenham Ave., Philadelphia, PA. Building later acquired by La Mott A.M.E. The organ was acquired by Joseph Chapline who sold it through the Organ Clearing House to the Andover Organ Co., who rebuilt and relocated it to Mount Pleasant Presbyterian in Mount Pleasant, S.C. with tonal changes.
