Currently (2024) receiving some restorative maintenance to bring it back to playing condition.
According to Leo Abbot, the Swell 8' Celeste was added in the 1960s during his time as organist. The pipes were taken from the Hutchings instrument in the basement of the church. Whether the 16' Aeoline toeboard was empty or not is unknown.
The original builder was Hook & Hastings (1880, Opus1005).
Status Note: There 2000.
Rebuild. Reversed console, exposed Gt. pipework. Mechanical action to Swell and Chioir, with pneumatic assist; Barker lever added by Hutchings to Great and its couplers.
Related Instrument Entries: E. & G.G. Hook & Hastings (Opus 1005, 1880)
