Database Manager on December 6th, 2019:
In a December 2, 2019 Facebook post by Bill Van Pelt, he states, <i>"Removal of the 1902 Hook & Hastiings pipe organ op. 1969 from the building of the former Bainbridge Street Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, began today, December 2, 2019. The organ will be installed just a few blocks away in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 1400 Perry Street. First, it will be transported to the workshop of David M. Storey Pipe Organs of Baltimore where it will receive a budget-limited renovation. Sacred Heart volunteers are being directed by Harry Casey of the Storey firm and built pipe trays as specified by Storey. Installation is anticipated in the Spring of 2020".</i>

Database Manager on January 10th, 2007:
Received from D. Bryson through L. Libin: Bainbridge Street Baptist Church 11th and Bainbridge Streets has closed its doors effective 11/30/05. The church has housed a 1902, 18-rank Hook and Hastings mechanical action organ. It is the only place this instrument has been used and has been kept in extremely good condition and is 100% playable. Another church bought Bainbridge church and now is selling to a developer who I understand wants to turn the church into condominiums. This organ will be "junked".

Database Manager on October 30th, 2004:
