Updated from information received via email on May 19, 2022 from Alan Eder - piano technician for the Institute: "I am Alan Eder, the long-time piano technician (since 1984) here at the Herb Alpert School of Music at the California Institute of the Arts."

"The School of Music has not had an instrument such as the one you describe. If any other school within the Institute has had one, they have managed to keep it a secret from me."
