Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The installation was begun on June 13, 1994 and was completed in mid-September. The organ is housed in a case of quarter-sawn white oak with a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish. Pipework is made from flamed copper (facade); spotted metal (50/50); a 98% lead allow which is hand hammered; and poplar. The anti-Secousses stop allows one to select steady or historically flexible winding. Several tonal changes and additions were made in the months preceding construction. A revision in April of 1993 shows the 8' Cromorne and 4' Clairon stops listed in the Swell rather than in the Great as built. The Swell mixture is listed as a III Plein Jeu, however a IV Cymbale was finally decided upon. The Swell 4' Flute Conique was changed to a 4' Flute a Fuseau. The organ follows French tonal design and employs French pipe scalings. The Great V Cornet is 32 notes from middle c thru g 56. The inaugural recital was given by Swiss organist Guy Bovet on Sunday, October 2, 1994 at 4:00 p.m.
