Updated through online information from T. Daniel Hancock. -- May have reused ranks of pipes from 1830 organ H. Erben built for this church. Stoplist as presented below (from Ogasapian) likely represents disposition c. 1850's-60's.
Updated through online information from T. Daniel Hancock. -- The "American Musical Directory," published by Thomas Hutchinson, New York, 1861, reports "Size of organ--3 banks keys, 38 stops, 2-1/2 octaves pedals. Built by H. Erben, in 1838."
Listed in Churchman as a new organ., apparently replacing the 1830 Erben. New pedal board 1850-60. Moved into new bldg. at Broadway & 10th St. in 1845-46. Incorporated into 1878 Roosevelt as antiphonal division. Roosevelt claimed to have made no tonal changes. Dismantled in 1902.
