Database Manager on April 30th, 2010:
Updated through on-line information from Chad Boorsma. -- Young men of the church were paid $3 a year to serve as pumpers for the organ, which was used until ca. 1931 when a larger pipe organ as purchased for $1,800 from Oakdale Park Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pumpers were no longer needed for the new instrument since it was powered by electricity.
