Paul R. Marchesano on March 1st, 2023:
The Diocese of Fort Wayne: 1 857-1907, by the Right Reverend Herman ]. Allerding, fourth bishop of Fort Wayne, states that the Lagro church obtained the present organ during the pastorate of the Reverend Patrick F. Roche (1884-88) at a cost of $700. Unfortunately, further details are not available from the bishop's history. Still, this fits the time frame when the Erben organ would have left the Catholics in La Porte. -- *2007 OHS Atlas*
