The Diocese of Fort Wayne: 1 857-1907, by the Right Reverend Herman ]. Allerding, fourth bishop of Fort Wayne, states that the Lagro church obtained the present organ during the pastorate of the Reverend Patrick F. Roche (1884-88) at a cost of $700. Unfortunately, further details are not available from the bishop's history. Still, this fits the time frame when the Erben organ would have left the Catholics in La Porte. -- 2007 OHS Atlas
Restored 2004 by Hal Gober. 2007 OHS Convention venue.
According to the article in the 2007 Organ Atlas, this is possibly an Erben built in 1851 for St. Paul Episcopal in La Porte, Indiana.
Unplayable. G compass (no AA#); one-octave pull-down pedals not original.
