The contract was signed in late 1919; however, while the organ was under construction, the Steere factory burned to the ground on February 17, 1920; early the next year the company was bought by the Skinner Organ Co. After the fire, the theater contracted with Robert Morton for a 3/14 installed in 1920; the 2,700-seat theater became the Paramount Theater in 1929; it was closed and demolished in 1960.
