Updated through online information from James Denman. -- I was director of music and in-house consultant for this instrument's design, installation and dedication. Organ has a Quint/Larigot (1-1/3) on the choir that is missing from the stoplist posted at the Noack website.

Database Manager on October 18th, 2006:

Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This is the church's third instrument, and the second in the present building. The previous organ was a 2-manual, 11-rank Austin, Op. 2179 (1952), which was relocated to St. Hilda-St. Patrick Episcopal in Edmonds, Washington. The Noack is installed at the front of the church on the left side - occupying the same space as the former Austin. The console, of quarter-sawn oak, is detached and reversed. The 5-sectional case has three towers divided by two flats, arranged: 9-43-9-43-9. The flats are divided into upper and lower sections. The lower flats have two distinct sections - one with 9 pipes and the other with 7 pipes. The upper flat has three section - one large flat of 9 pipes, and two smaller flats of 9 pipes each in an above/below mirrored arrangement. Some ranks of pipes were ordered from Gebr. Kas Orgelpfeifen in Bonn, Germany. The 8-level comb. action is by Solid State Logic Systems, Case carvings were done by Lohmann Woodcarving Co. of Covington, Michigan. The organ was dedicated on Saturday, December 13, 1997 with an abbreviated dedication recital by Marie Claire Alain. The full recital was given the following day. The Great 8' Diapason has its first 28 pipes en façade, and the Pedal 8' Diapason is entirely en façade.
