Paul R. Marchesano on September 17th, 2024:

"In March, 1905, Father Crowly redecorated the interior of the church at a cost of $22,000. The erection of the three present marble altars, the beautiful sanctuary railing, the organ and other improvements, all of which were donated, raised the total cost to $77,000." -- Walsh, Richard J. “History of St. Teresa’s Parish, Philadelphia.” Records of the American Catholic Historical Society of Philadelphia 67, no. 2/4 (1956): 105–19. http://www.jstor.org/stable/44210514.

Paul R. Marchesano on September 17th, 2024:

Cost $3,000. Apparently much tension between the builder and the priest. See DOCUMENTS tab for articles reporting on the organ. Rebuilt/replaced 1905 with interior renovations.
