Database Manager on June 20th, 2009:

Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The School Dist. agreed to pay for prepared chamber space for the organ if funding for its rebuild could be raised elsewhere. Private donations and a very generous gift from the Seattle Chapter of the AGO have made this a reality. The School Dist. also provided the shop space at the former Lincoln High School for the rebuilding, enlargement, and set-up of the organ. The Moller was delivered to Lincoln H.S. from storage in Sept. 2008 and has been under reconstruction and enlargement by the Pipe Organ Foundation of Mercer Island, WA. Reinstallation at Roosevelt H.S. is scheduled for the summer of 2009.

Database Manager on April 10th, 2007:

Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ originally cost $3,100.00 and was a gift of the Class of 1940 as a memorial to the first principal, Mr. V. K. Froula. The high school is undergoing a major redesign and renovation, and the organ was removed and placed in sealed contaners in a Seattle School District storage facility. The organ was rather desperately in need of rebuilding. The rocker tablets for the couplers had begun to warp, crack, and disintegrate. And the drawknobs weren't far behind. Some of the other console controls had been removed. The Swell had damaged pipework. And regulator leather was dry and flaking. A group called Friends of Roosevelt High School Froula Memorial Organ is trying to raise $115,000.00 for the rebuilding and reinstallation of the organ. Its fate is presently (April 2007) undetermined.
