Updated by Tom Scheck, who has heard or played the organ.<br>
The church has contributed considerable resources to improve the condition of the organ. Tremendous progress has been made and the organ is now in good playing condition. Although some problems remain, the church is taking the steps necessary to bring the organ to fully functioning condition.

Updated through online information from Tom Scheck. -- The church's organist kindly allowed me to examine the organ 02/27/10. Upon examining the organ, I found it to be in very poor condition. Although the organist advised that all labeled stops should work when the organ is functioning properly, I found 25 of the 96 labeled stops not working at all. Dead notes were rife in many of the other 71 stops, rendering them essentially useless. The Pedal division was in especially deplorable condition.

Identified through online information from Thurlow Weed. -- Organ was originally Frazee 13/IIP, using supposedly mostly recycled Austin pipework, though Sw Oboe was supposedly Jardine. Several ranks had been switched out/replaced over the years, though organ remained at 13rk. Early 1990s saw major expansion of instrument with new movable console, replacing original fixed console. Old Great was enlarged to become Choir, new exposed Great installed over Military Chapel altar in North Transept. A divided 9rk Gallery division was installed in the rear balcony of Nave. A small exposed chest including a new Festival Trumpet was installed above Lady Chapel altar in South Transept. A floating Positiv division was created from Great stops. Expansion was done by local builder Marshall Stone, using mostly pipework obtained through Organ Clearinghouse. New pipe work significant for a 16' Wood Open by EM Skinner (1-12) and Hook & Hastings (13-32), as well as EMS IIrk Flute Celeste (with unaltered voicing). Expansion included installation of new Peterson solid-state switching system.
