An original installation. Identified by Rick Erickson, using information found in "The Organ of St. Mary's Cathedral", ca 1980.
The Kilgen organ retained some pipework of the 1906 Marshall-Bennett organ. The Kilgen was replaced by a new Schantz in 1956, but again retaining some of the previous pipework (including string ranks and the Choir clarinet)and the Echo Organ located at the apex of the ceiling over the great door.
