Database Manager on November 14th, 2018:

Updated by Scot Huntington, who has heard or played the organ.

In 2017, the landmark Schlicker organ was unceremoniously removed and will likely be quietly dispersed or junked.

Database Manager on August 28th, 2016:

Updated through online information from James R. Stettner.
According to an August 1, 2016 New York Times online article (http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/02/nyregion/super-white-or-white-dove-restoring-st-pauls-colonial-color.html?mabReward=CTM&module=WelcomeBackModal&contentCollection=Education+Life®ion=FixedCenter&action=click&src=recg&pgtype=article&_r=0) St. Paul's Chapel will "swap out" its 1965 Schlicker for the 1989 Noack organ from the Church of the Redeemer in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The Noack will lose its original case and be housed in the present 1803 John Geib case (itself enlarged by J.H. & C.S. Odell in 1870). The fate of the Schlicker is not yet determined.

Database Manager on December 16th, 2012:

Identified through online information from Gregg Patruno. -- Rebuild of existing Schlicker Organ of 1963. Cleaned and made playable after September 11, 2001 by Mann & Trupiano. This organ was used for weekly recitals in Fall 2012, despite an inoperable combination action.
