This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in David Junchen The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, an Illustrated History, pp.204, 205, 681.
-- The Stanley Theatre, a mammoth and sumptuous hall still stands used as a church, the organ long ago removed. Wurlitzer opus 1836 is unusual in that a 27 rank theatre organ would normally have been built with a 4 manual console, but at the Stanley Theatre request, this organ was built with a 3 manual console.
