The previous organ was imported from Italy in the 1910s or 20s, I THINK it was by Tamburini. I was on the voicing staff at Wicks when the rebuild came through. Only some pipework and perhaps a bit of casework were re-used. A most exotic and interesting organ!
The chapel closed with the adjacent hospital in 2002 and reopened in 2012 as the National Shrine of St. Frances Cabrini.
