Wurlitzer "Style 240 Sp" - with Post Horn
Factory date: November 2, 1928
Built for Uptown Theatre, Cleveland, Ohio. At unknown date, moved to Richard Wheeler Residence, Cleveland, Ohio. In 1998, purchased by Paul McKissick for his residence in Mercer, Pennsylvania. When it was decided to downsize, Dr. Arthur Steffee offered to purchase the organ and give it a home in Foxburg at Lincoln Hall, on the second floor of the Foxburg (Pennsylvania) Free Library, space that was being renovated and restored as a performance venue for Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts. Beginning in 2005, McKissick moved the organ to Foxburg, where it was enlarged to 17 ranks.
